Welcome !

Scouting is a great place for boys to make friends, camp, learn outdoor skills, have fun, and learn to be responsible citizens. Troop 26 was chartered by the Immanuel United Church of Christ in downtown Bartlett in 1976.

We are a "scout-run troop", so the scouts plan, organize, and lead their own meetings and activities under the supervision of our adult leaders. We have a great group of adult scoutmasters, volunteers, and committee members who are committed to the scouting program and to helping our scouts grow into mature adults.

We meet every Monday night at 7:30 at the church (except on U-46 non-attendance days during the school year). Feel free to stop by and see us any time (no appointment necessary!).

2020 Stockings for the Troop

Posted on Sep 2 2020 - 6:28pm

The holidays aren't too far away which means that Operation Support our Troops America is preparing for their annual drive to fill Christmas Stockings for our troops.  It's uncertain whether we'll be able to help stuff the stockings this year as we have in past years, but we can certainly help them by donating items to put in the stockings.

The following is a list of the items they need.  If you have items to donate, please bring them to a troop meeting and give them to Mr. Grieco.  Thanks for your generosity!

Popcorn Sales Update

Posted on Jul 27 2020 - 8:08pm

Hi Everyone,

I am emailing about popcorn. The boys voted they wanted to sell popcorn this year. I am unwilling to support booth sales this year because of COVID. That being said everyone has the ability to do this for themselves. I have to order popcorn this year by August 5th. We have a limited ability to order and to return unused popcorn. My goal is not to return any to council this year. Last year the council was stuck with a large amount of leftover popcorn they could not get rid of. I want to know what you and your scout would like me to order for you. This is a commitment. Below is the popcorn line up for the year:

Cheese lovers collection(White Cheddar Popcorn and Blazin Hot Popcorn)-------$35
Salted Caramel Popcorn(20 oz bag)-------$25
Blazin Hot Popcorn (8 oz bag)---------------$20
White Cheddar Popcorn (9 oz bag)---------$20
Unbelievable butter bag (7 oz bag)----------$15
Popping Corn Jar (28 oz)-----------------------$15
Caramel Corn bag (9 oz)-------------------------$10

They also still have American Heroes donations. Please let me know asap what you would like me to order for you. As always there is still an online sale going on and anyone with an account should already be getting the updates for that. I can also order popcorn at the end of the sale to fill any of your non-online orders.

It's here!

It's hard to believe that it's been a year since a tree fell on the troop trailer during the crazy storm at Ma-Ka-Ja-Wan Scout Reservation.  Thanks to the generous donations from Troop 26 families (past and present) and to the hard work of Mr. Strama, Mr. Ouimet, Mr. Frazer and the troop committee, we have a beautiful new replacement.  We still need to build out the inside, so that the troop gear can be organized and stowed securely, but by the time the Covid-19 restrictions are lifted, we'll be ready to hit the road to camp with a great set of wheels.
